What should I do if I feel danger

Picture
Adults must help kids to think about the people he/she trust and feel safe around them. These people could be their: mum, dad, caregiver, adult friend, adult neighbor, grandma, grandad, teacher, auntie or uncle, or an older brother or sister.

All kids need to have a plan of action for situations when they don't feel safe. It must be simple and precise.

Point out safe places to play, roads and paths to take, and places to go if there is trouble.

Teach children to trust their instincts. Explain that if they ever feel scared or uncomfortable, they should get away as fast as they can and tell a safe adult.

Encourage kids to memorize a few phone numbers and addresses in case they need to ask for help when their parents are not around.

Adults need to know how to keep kids Safe and Protected.
